Stairway To Heaven (Drama)-2003

Hatred, disgusted, boring is my first impression of this drama . Why?cause the walkthrough at that time seems so stupid. How can Han Tae-hwa always pushing Jung-suh for love? Also, the part when Han Tae-hwa jump to Han Jung-suh room balcony and hug her forcibly make me feel like... WRONG. This has make me hate to Tae-Hwa character.

And then when Jung Sung 'voluntarily' offered herself to Tae-Hwa at that night also seems so stupid. Because of these two scenes and some other, it's like this drama main focus is only sexuality and makes me so damn boring that I even played my Rubik's cube while watching(I really did).Also, when her step sister and mother abused her also angered me and turned me off. I thought maybe this is the first and last time I will watch this drama. I wished to stop watching but I hate doing things half ways.

So I thought maybe I'm not alone, maybe there's people that think same as me. But then, I'm totally wrong.This drama seems to be famous in 2004, the first year that it is aired. Then I read the comments. Most of them saying this is greatest, saddest drama and else.

Then, I continuously watched the drama and slowly as the story expands, it is getting quite interesting. And the songs is not as bad as I heard it at the first time (but still, Winter Sonata OST still the best Korean songs). Then in the half way of the episodes, the story getting better and better.

Tae-Hwa that has changed to a really protective older brother really hits the spot. Maybe I kinda hate him at the beginning but after he changed his feelings toward Jung-Suh, he has been so cool since. The way he fight his biological sister and mother to protect Jung-Suh and to tell the truth to everyone also really great. What he did at the end of the story also really a sad scene. When it shows flashback of his time with Jung-Suh make the sad impression harder.

With an additional character, a foreign man that work for Song-Ju( in my subtitle, he called him Director Jang) also made the drama interesting as he always support him in any matter at all. Soon, my hatred towards this drama has changed to loved it so much.

I noticed that Jung-Suh and Song-Ju always turned down all her step mother and sister plan. It makes me happy though, cause Jung-Suh has turned from a wrongly obedient child to a very strong person as she always stand up to them.

From comments I read, most of them also seems like unsatisfied with the ending and so do I. It seems very unfair for Song-Ju and Jung-Suh but actually, this unfair feelings is what make this drama special. Also, the hatred towards the step mother and sister also showed that they have played their character well. It also shows that the story is great and the actors has really done a great job.

REALLY entertaining and tragic drama I must say. Maybe it has a very stupid opening,but after that it's nothing but wonderful. It's related to heavy emotions,from being mad at the stepmom and step sister, to feeling sadness and joy for the couple.Really worth watching, only it is a little too sad to be true. Damn it.......
